My top 3 image

 Depth of field.

1/125 @ f 9.0 ISO 10000

How I achieved this shot... I used a macro 100mm f 2.8 L lens. I put the ring on a shoe and distance the other shoe about 5 inches away from the earings. I was about 4-5 inches away from the earings. my aperture of f 9.0 give me as much sharpness on the first earing as i wanted and threw everything else nicely out of focus.

Panorama

This is my previously shot panorama. It is still one of my favorite image using this technique.

Bounced Flash

as the weather in Hawkesbury hasn't been cooperating since friday i had to resort shooting inside. Here is my take on the most mondain daily activity using bounce flash. Flash was bounce on the left side wall.

I did notice the very brief change in the background. It does become slightly darker. However it is barely noticeable and might have to do with my flash who seemed to not work very well under the ettl.

Part B : Removing Noise

Okay so I tested this technique twice. Personally i am not a big fan of it with people. a slight movement can cause the whole process not to work even when aligning the layers.

Part A : Removing People

In my first attempt, based on 20 images, I noticed some ghosting at the lights. We barely see the people but there is some kind of outline there. So I found that this was a failure. I tried again with another series.

Failure Final image:

In this series I only used 9 images and found it quite successful. however, I can see some outline of the other image in the grey building part above pharmaprix. I'm curious if this corner was too busy in the first place.

Incident light meter

My observation was that the incident light meter read the scene better than all other forms of metering. With the dark background the camera meter provided a reading that was over exposed while the white background the camera reading were underexposed.
